Mad Dog Malcolm, undefeatable street fighter, addresses his admirers from the steps of the Pink Pussycat in King’s Cross - “KINGS CROSS”
Malcolm is challenged to a street fight from Italian migrant Tony Fungool.
Tony bludgeons Malcolm with a solid acrylic garlic bread (stolen from a display at his father’s restaurant)
Malcolm is left unconscious and bleeding.
As Malcolm’s heart stops, the ghost of Peter Allen appears and breathes life into the dead man.
Peter then gives Malcolm the gift of song - “TONY FUNGOOL”
Malcolm’s new life as a cabaret singer begins - “THE BASHING SONG”, “CHA CHING” “JUANITA AND MARGARITA”
While Malcolm is on the cabaret circuit, Tony Fungool opens a night-club; he refuses to pay a police protection gratuity and is arrested, and assassinated - “POOR TONY”
Meanwhile Malcolm returns to visit Kings Cross, only to find it has been gentrified - “KINGS CROSS REVISITED”
Malcolm puts on a cabaret show in his hometown, and is booed off stage - “ON THE RAGS!”
Word spreads of Malcolm’s cabaret performance, and he is cancelled - “O MAD DOG MALCOLM”
